Lessons and Gigs

Electric/upright bass is Austin's primary instrument. Growing up listening to bands like Yes, Rush, and the Beatles, he is well-trained in Rock music. His main gig is with his brother, Jack Kays. A singer-songwriter whom he had toured all around the world. He is also well-trained in the Jazz tradition. Studying with Aaron Jacobs at CCM, most of his gigs in Cincinnati are in a jazz setting.
